This page was created to provide you all the information you’d need before booking with me or provide additional information about your booked sessions, like what to bring along or what you’d need on the day. I do regularly add more questions and answer, so hopefully your answers are shown, but I always welcome telephone calls or emails so please don’t hesitate to call me and have chat..
This is a common question that I come across and my answer is quite open and honest, in that you should speak with your photographer and gauge your relationship, after all the more relaxed you are with your photographer the better the photographs will be and then have a look at the quality of the photographs to gauge your photographers style. All Photographer will have their own style, particularly in how they edit the images.
I see my style as a documentary photo-journalistic photographer. Great photographs consist of strong compositions, observation, anticipation, great awareness of light and the vision to tell a story. It is these qualities I bring to my photography. Every couple and every day is different and it’s through getting to know you and your story that informs my work. I unobtrusively observe your day as it unfolds looking for those moments, the emotions and the celebration that it is. It’s also a rare occasion for your families to come together and therefore always recommend a selection of group shots too.
I love what I do and unfortunately I’m not all things to all people! I’m not about forced cheesy grins, jumping off walls like a bridal synchronised dance troupe, tilted angles, or spot colouring I’m afraid! What I do capture is your story through beautiful photographs.
I use the best professional digital cameras. All the photos are captured in colour and I process all the photos into a combination of colour, black and white and some with more creative toning and finishing. I process all the photographs myself.
Most couples and their family would like a few formal and group shots and of course I photograph them too. Many parents see these as an important part of any wedding day and they can be as formal or informal as you’d like.
Yes I am fully insured. I have professional indemnity insurance along with public liability insurance.
It is also quite commonplace for many wedding venues to insist that all your suppliers have appropriate insurance, so I encourage you to make sure that every photographer you speak to also has full insurance.
Yes, I am based in the wonderful city Coventry with my family and it’s a fantastic region to live in! However, I am happy to travel anywhere to photograph your big day. I’ve even been know to fly further afield.
Once your wedding is over, the things you will have to remind you of your wonderful day is the memories, stories and photographs. The wedding breakfast & cake will be eaten, the dress will be stored away and the flowers will wilt and fade.
Because of the importance to me of helping you cherish those memories, it may take up to four weeks for me to edit your wedding photographs, but I edit most weddings within two weeks!
I’ll upload your photos to a personal online gallery for all your family and friends and then send you the USB memory stick. You then have the opportunity to select the photos you’d like to see in an optional album or a signature framed print. The choice is yours.
You can complete the online form, email or phone me to check my availability for your day or even better we can meet up for a coffee.
I require a completed and signed booking form and agreement and a non-refundable deposit of £400 to secure my services for your wedding date. The balance is payable 14 days before the wedding date.
The Photographs are owned by First PIXEL photography, until the point of purchase of any image or collection of images. At which point you are licensed to print images and utilise the images for your personal requirements. The only restriction is the resale of the images or use of the image for commercial reasons.
Strictly speaking if you have booked a specific date and time, then you cannot cancel or change the booking. However, I understand that things crop up or happen that are outside of your control so I try to be as flexible as I possibility can be to reschedule.
Your online gallery is usually posted within 3-4 weeks of your photo session. Then you can choose your prints and products.
I'm really happy to have chat on either the Phone, Facebook Messenger or Email, so please get in touch:

As a mother of three children, I know three things when it comes to Maternity Photography!
The latter can make some people shy away from Maternity Photographs, worrying about those pesky stretch marks or increased hair growth or even a little extra padding gained... Firstly you shouldn't be shy we are all the same and you can choose to have those all magically vanish with a click and edit or not. It should never stop you capturing those amazing memories.
Yes of course - there are an array of wonderful shots we can take together, that include your partner, whether that clothed or partially clothed to create and capture that natural skin to skin look.
There are also incredible photographs we can create including your family members.
